I am sorrty, I thought this thread was about DJs people would like to SEE/HEAR at Circus, not those that would actually PLAY at circus.
It's the f'n subject of the thread.
That said, there are tons of DJs tat peeps would love to see/hear at Circus, but simply never will untill someone gets with reality.

you can't argue with forces of groupthink, conformity and denial. some people can't see the forest from the trees so there's no point in trying to break the spiral of silence sought after here... in all honesty, i think this thread was meant for suggestions of a very narrow focus, just not explicitly stated. |

| I think prolly bring back Marco V. It's been like 3-4 years since he's played there. But I would prefer Marcel Woods to drop by the Circus...of course I also prefer his 2006-2008 playing style...not really razzed about his late 2008-09 style. <.< |

Trinity and Malia, Rich isn't completely off topic. A lot of the names mentioned may not want to spin at Circus because of the stigma that hangs over it these days. I know you're loyal to the venue, and I agree that there is a ton of potential, but you have to realize that a club will not survive in LA without a serious makeover. LA is too fickle an audience to come out to a venue purely for what it used to be, not what it is now. A minority of the 21+ clubbing crowd are hardcore trance heads.
I have been to Circus in the last few months and I haven't been all that impressed. Perhaps it's the music, perhaps it's the sub-par sound, perhaps it's the new DJ booth with the blinding light rig. It is probably a combination of those along with my vivid memories of the club's heyday (2001-2006). These days, it's more like a hastily thrown-together rave in the middle of Hollywood. Many of us are just not into that scene anymore, nor are many of the marquis DJs.
I'd love to see a Circus revival as much as anybody. My first DJ gig ever was in the loft there. Some of the most influencial artists and DJs performed in the main room, those who formed my opinion of EDM and helped me forge my budding DJ career. I had a lot of emotional investment in the venue and I'd like to return to that state sooner rather than later. I just don't see it happening with the current format.
