That is the genre in which all the best music is being produced in right now.
I thought electro was going to die out about a year ago because the quality of tracks was getting ty, but then all of sudden Wolfgang Gartner and a gang of other producers started coming out with some innovative and creative electro tracks.
I can't believe how good some of these tracks are.
Like Neelix, where did they come from? Their material sounds incredible.
You have to go where the good music is coming out of.
I thought I was just going to stick with progressive and tribal tech house, but then all these good electro tracks started coming out.
It's all about blending styles together really. That's what the really good DJs do. Who wants to hear the same sound for 6 hours straight? Unless you are... you know...
...but c'mon, you've got to spice it up and add some variety.
Next Saturday I will be dropping some trance classics remixed into electro and tribal tech with a lot of stuff off my new CD including music by Abel Ramos, Bingo Players, Neelix, Dabruck & Klein, Afrojack, Belocca, Spencer & Hill, Calvertron, Hatiras, and a few surprises.
It's going to be bananas!!! I can't wait!!!! |

Alex Morph was so underwhelming last time he played at Circus. He just looked tired.
Time I saw him before that at 1015 in SF he was awesome though. |

I have been following neelix for years, he used to write full on psy stuff cranking out tracks at 138-142 BPMs. He doesnt produce electro really, but rather remixes electro stuff and puts the neelix twist on it. His remix of Felguk's galaxy traveler has been number one on beatport for weeks now
The psy producers standards are second to none. Their programming is so far ahead of their time when compared to everything else out right now. Alot of the psy producers have become influenced by electro and tech, psychedelic is becoming so broad these days. You may want to check out some Brisker & Magitman stuff. You would be surprised to see what kind of sounds are coming from the leading producers on the psychedelic scene |
