Hatiras won awards and got cred worldwide without any gimmicky marketing tricks or funny hats...before electronic was as commercial and publicized and popular as it is now. I have more respect for that, though I don't argue that deadmau5 has a tonne of fans too.
One thing I think is important to note about these pics your posting is that it looks like they are from festivals, where the crowd is there for a number of other artists as well. Those people didn't all come for a deadmau5 set exclusively. (but the booking itself is obviously respectable!) |

lol hes a live act of sorts..
notice hes doing computer based mixing?
if im not mistaken, he does loop/sample based gigs (obviously with ableton + midi controllers)
+ as i posted earlier in this thread, he thinks DJs are ing c*nts...why would anyone abuse what they are?
therefore we conclude that deadmau5 is NOT a dj |

but i've never seen him live...so i have no idea...im usually dancing and not watching...lol.
