Good point! The following is my regimen to ensure maximum fertility for all:

1. Women, eat lots and lots of food and don't work out -- obese girls tend to have earlier onset of puberty. Also, too much exercise can lead to disruption of the menstrual cycle.

2. Men, eat more moderate amounts of food but with lots of protein and zinc -- obesity makes impotence more likely in men, but protein and zinc bring up testosterone and sperm count.

3. Everyone should live within a minute of a hospital to ensure minimal complications or deaths of women and children from pregnancy.

4. No recreational drugs for anyone, except Viagra and maybe some alcohol to spur on the sex drive.

5. No television, movies, or portable music, and no artificial lighting in residences after sundown. This will ensure that people get so bored that they screw one another's brains out.

6. No education beyond the minimal skills necessary to do menial jobs.

7. And of course all methods of birth control must be destroyed.

Anyone who opposes this brilliant plan is anti-life. :disbelief

You forgot:

8. Legalize rape.

Maybe. But that might have the complication that men would be too busy protecting or avenging female relatives to have much sex.

True; we might want to supplement it with

9. Women are property; and
10. The state will provide a considerable subsidy to owners of women for each child they bear.

in which case the owner would have exclusive (but alienable) rape rights and there will be a strong market incentive to maximize reproductive efficiency.

Good thinking. With such brilliant political principles in place, the culture of life will be triumphant once and for all.

Could you Americans please get Obama to appoint both MrJiveBoJingles and Arbiter for the Ministry of Health and Property? Pretty please?

Is it reasonable to expect someones beliefs to reflect their sexual preferences/attractions?

To some extent, yes. We can't live in a world without belief, so it's only natural that they shape how we see the world to some extent. If I believe you like me, to give a trivial example, it's quite likely that the feeling will be mutual (pun intended).

From that, to something more substantial (yet fictional). Someone tells me, for whatever reason, that I'm highly compatible with red haired girls. Not only that, I'm led to believe red haired girls are better in bed, are extremely docile as long as they're allowed to make me sandwiches, and are more loyal and loving partners. How would that not be perfect?!

Next time I'm in a club, and I see both an average red haired girl and a blonde bombshell looking at me, how do you think I'm going to focus on? All other things being equal, the blonde is just the plan B.

And it's not natural...and also...not my concern if someone would rather have a CROWN than a SWORD between his legs :D

hello moron.

LMAO @ the replies.

After thinking about it longer, I still think it's hypocritical to support an act by being positive about it and at the same time claiming it's "wrong". "Yay, murder is fun to watch!! But it is so horrible and wrong! The bible says so! Let's go watch some people getting murdered." Ummm, no.

I agree that it seems like he is just using the bible to justify his own prejudice.

So irritating.

Oh off Alex, the bible does promote hating gay people, it says that they should be stoned to death. How is that not promoting hate?

The problem is that the bible is so unclear and contradictory on many issues that it can be used to justify any viewpoint. And christianity is no more a religion of peace than I am the president of the USA.

Don't tell me to off.

Christians that use Leviticus as means to hate on gays are hypocrites, especially since OUR book is the NEW Testament and the Old is used mostly to predict the new.

If a Christian wants to hate on jews they also are not allowed to play football or have accidentally plant in their neighbor's yard or they'll also be killed. The point I was making is that in the New Testament, the testament that Christians are instructed with and are supposed to live their lives according to, does not promote hating anyone. That's why if you "are struck by your brother, offer him your other cheek" etc etc.

Christianity IS a religion of peace, it's people that get in the way of that and abuse their positions of power and so called knowledge to push their own agendas. If you want to argue semantics, be my guest, but you'll lose because put quite simply I'm smarter and more knowledgeable on the subject than you.

The bible is against homosexual acts. Both between heterosexual men and homosexual men (yes heterosexuals used to and still do prostitute themselves and what not).

But the bible doesn't promote hating gay people, any person who follows the bible's teachings and hates gay people and persecutes them/makes them feel like /etc are hypocrites and deserved to be called out on it.

It's dumb that a religion of love and peace gets so perverted by people who use it to judge others and to push their political/cultural agendas.

It doesn't promote hating gay people but it has no problem having them executed.

I can confirm that. Along with Moral Hazard, he's one of the reasons why I don't even dare to say "Christians are idiots/ignorants/deluded" or anything of that sort. And he actually knows his stuff, unlike most bible-thumpers (not that he is one).

See my above post Krypton. If the big argument here is going to be about Leviticus then argue with an Orthodox Jew or a Hasidic Jew. The teachings in Leviticus are contradicted and discontinued in the New Testament and are replaced by tolerance. It's amusing to me that dumb atheists (not saying you Krypton, more along the lines of Ricky Martin or whatever RickyM is supposed to stand for) think Christians cling to Leviticus as a safety blanket when in fact a vast majority of Christians pay very little attention to it and focus on the new and positive message of the Gospels.
