Seriously that sucks, its bad in Miami too, but your ticket prices up there is absolutely ridiculous!

Just scream out "Rodney King!" next time you see them near your car.
seriously!

expired meters are like 14$. Sometimes i would just say fuk it if I didn't have quarters and deal with the ticket. haha.

I just got a 120$ parking ticket yesterday on main street in Flushing for parking in front of a building which had no sign as well. I was only gone 15 minutes to go into the Hong Kong market and came back and there was the ticket. I am going to try to dispute it.

ok this makes even less sense as it's all metered parking on main street. unless you were in front of a hydrant

No hydrant, it wasn't actually right ON Main it was a side road near Main. It was in front of a apartment building, no meter. There was enough space for two cars to park and then there were driveways on either side afterward.

Only error on the ticket is they said my car is a 2 door sedan but it's actually a 3 door hatchback but I am not sure that a body type mistake is enough of an error to get it cancelled but its worth a shot. I am also going to take pics of the area.

the po-po has been roaming the streets for the past two weeks, heavily! if i had a car i would just step back and chill for another 2 weeks until they calm down.

Well I live on Long Island and I've experienced having to wait over an hour to take the train on the LIRR to get home from the city because I missed it by minutes. I hate the public transportation system at times, so I'd rather take the car.

Some of you may know my story on my car getting towed back in January a few blocks away from Pacha. I was parked in a No Standing zone which said I could not stand between the hours of 7AM-7PM. I parked there at 5 minutes to 10PM. Long story short, my car was towed for no apparent reason when I came back at 3AM. The ticket says no standing all days/all hours. I'm currently getting an appeal so I can not only get my fine money back, but the towing money that was also paid.

The reason I'm bringing this up is because I got another ticket last night near Love. I parked near the corner of 8th Ave. & Washington Square North. I parked past a sign saying "No parking anytime" and near a pole further down with no sign whatsoever on it. It looked like there was a sign there at one point, but no longer.

On my way to Love, I turned right on McDougal and saw two officers in their little mobiles, tagging 4 cars with tickets. After the JOC show, I came back to my car noticing a ticket on the windshield for $65 saying that I parked in an area where I could not stand all days/all hours. The officer clearly made an imaginary sign because there was no such sign anywhere near my car. I parked the car there the last time I was at Love for Randy Boyer & Breakfast. I'm definitely fighting this ticket as I have all the proof needed to win.

Are cops trying to meet a quota or something? Clearly there was no such sign as stated on the ticket. I find it retarded that something like that was even done. I'd also like to know if anything like this has happened to any of you.

Since 8th and wash north don't actually form an intersection, i assume you mean 8th and Macdougal. Macdougal between 8th and Wash north has night restrictions after 11, so your car actually should have been towed.

maybe it's a sign that you shouldn't go out anymore.

btw - when your car gets towed they have a unit that just tows cars, it's not cops on patrol.

I sold my car after having it in the city for 3 months. I spent more time moving it than actually driving it....and when I did drive it, I either had to pay for a parking garage at school, search for parking for hours or get a ticket.

Chose the MTA, because its $81 a month unlimited.... with no gas, no parking fees, no tickets, no upkeep on car. (mind you this doesnt always work for people living in the boroughs and beyond... BUT living in manhattan and having a car is retarded IMO). never again!!

bro that's so weird, i was JUST telling someone the story at Love about the time your car got towed by Cielo for that Ferry party... you got bad luck with parking man
StarSoprano426
Mike where were you parked? 8th Ave doesn't go down that far, so you probably mean 8th St. Were you parked on 8th and MacDougal? Or Wash Sq North and 5th Ave? Or Wash Sq N and MacDougal? Let me know if you want me to take pics for you cause I work right over there.

I don't remember the exact intersection, so sorry if I misinforming. I shouldn't go out anymore? Lol.

As far as towing unit, I don't know. All I know was in the first incident, The car disappeared and when I got the car, the ticket was on the shield saying whatever. It was issued 30 minutes after I left the car.

Here's some pics. Yes it wasn't 8th or whatever I said. Near the corner of 5th AVE and Washington:
