That's crazy. Anything before that parkin garage is parking iirc:conf:

Yea the time I parked there before it was fine. The other night however wasn't. The guys in the mobiles btw were pretty young looking. So I bet they were in training :p

since the sign was missing they probably assumed the no parking anytime extended till there.. which is a bit retarded.

go back.. maybe by Rosnki the sign will be replaced and take a pic of it ;]

Well the no parking sign starts from behind me (which is a little ways down) to the end of the block towards the intersection. I'm nowhere near the sign :p

i dunno if it still flies in court but you or a lawyer you hire may present pictures of signs of what you describing including the street signs too.

yeah that's done with the adjudicators at ny's dept of finance locations.

sucks that they made ticket writing idiot proof with those electronic gizmos. my first parking ticket i got thrown out on a technicality -- the cop forgot to put make or model or some on one of those handwritten tickets.

Lol dude.. I was driving around Wash square looking for a spot on that same night, I saw that spot and I passed it up. Maybe it was just my intuition; however, the fact that the sign was gone doesn't mean the cops are stupid. They probably ticket there all the time and just did it out of instinct. You seem to have a solid case against it though.

I actually have a couple parking tickets in NY but I live in NJ, haven't paid em yet. I'm scared of what would happen if I were pulled over and they saw my outstanding tickets :nervous:

Yea, I passed it once, then went back to it. I wonder if I win against the case, will they punish the cops or do something about that street?

if you are fighting these parking tickets I wish you the best of luck!

Mike you should definitely fight these tickets. I recommend going in person, the success rate is much higher. I fought a TOWING and won! Very similar to your case, there was no signage. I took photos and fought it and won. I got a full refund of the ticket and towing fee. Even if you don't win, you may get a reduction in the fine. Patience and luck!:happy2:

Yea, I'm going to go in person for the appeal. This $65 one I just got, I'll send all proof via mail. If I get a guilty determination, I will appeal :)
