Sure, then they'll get a lot of people expecting rock, hip-hop, country, etc. Calling it just a "music festival" when it caters only to a narrow spectrum of music is a bad idea. |

Seriously, I think the name needs to not indicate a massive, and not be too-edm specific. Labeling it as that will only make the politicians in SF freak out even more. |

Go venture is a business first and foremost, they have been using the love fest name for a long time, having two events one in CA and Hawaii . They have the right to sue them. |

And "Love Fest" or "Love Parade" implied EDM only? Only after they built brand recognition. Any new name for this event will have to go through the same avenues to gain recognition. Besides, most people who would go to this already know what it's about regardless of the title. |

No, Because the how Love + Fest are combined to make the word "LoveFest" is what makes it catchy. Can't think of another word that can be merged up against it to keep it catchy. |

Yes they do have the right to sue, however they should had sue the first day they found out that the SF organizers where changing the name to "LOVE FEST", not wait 4 years for the name to be branded/associated as one of the doppest free parties in the USA, now many people will be left thinking that the LOVE Festival in LA is the same as the one in San Francisco, which is NOT!
