I too miss "full-on melodies" in dance music, although I would place the best period further back than 2003. It's a shame that some of the people who used to make great melodic tracks now cough up forgettable dross like this:

Personnaly I do like some tracks from that list (e.g. The Timelord) but I wouldn't call them "amongst the best trance tracks ever created". And I do think there are still some great tracks to find from 2008 that could easily relate with those from that list, just have a look at the tracks Rebel9 mentionned. "Autumn Lights (Oliver Prime Remix)" = :crazy: ... my favourite track from 2008
