exactly my thoughts. People today are like "Whiteroom is the best freakin progtrance ever!" and they have totally missed out on all the big 90s progtrance ala Blue Amazon, Tilt, Breeder, Slacker etc.

They are gone because producers now know how they want to sound. While in the earlier days of trance, producers didnt quite know exactly what they wanted to make or sound, so it was almost all good and fun music without any reference point.

I'm in your boat. How many threads are in this forum that think Markus was the first guy to have that sound? sakes.

I don't think anyone who's posted in this thread thinks that. It's not an issue of what came first, we're just discussing a certain period of sound here.

push vs globe - tranformation (push transendental mix)

thats some full on melody. balls out and all. nice and dark but fully uplifting. its not new, but i was horrified to see a vocal mix of it out there, didnt listen to it though!

producers nowadays are tring to be too clever i suspect. also their tracks are too clean and clinical.

You are right but that's why I said this forum, because in the past there have been people saying "Oh Markus has such an awesome style" when yes, maybe he had some nice sets but really Sasha, Seaman, Warren etc etc had been playing similar sets 10 years earlier. I don't know how long you come into this forum, but def since 2005 until now there have been a few I can remember off the top of my head.
