Caught the third trailer in "Watchmen" last night and I gotta say this looks pretty damn amazing. Having JJ Abrams take over the franchise was the best thing they could've done.
Here's a link to trailer 3 if you haven't seen it.

So is this movie supposed to be about the events that happen after what happens in the beginning of Star Trek: Generations?

Actually it goes back before that to the original series (Kirk/Spock/Bones/Scotty etc.) from the 60s and picks up when they first met.
Should be good.
Edit: Next Gen takes place about 75 years after the Kirk era, fyi.

Yes, I know the about the time line between the original series and TNG. Remember at the beginning of Generations, Kirk takes temporary control of the Enterprise (I think 1701-B), and gets captured in the Nexus.
The trailer has a guy talking to Kirk (not necessarily James T. Kirk), about how his father was captain for 12 minutes. That's about the same amount of time that James T. Kirk was captain on the enterprise B when he was blown out of the ship and sucked into the Nexus.
I do see a young Spock there though... So I'm just going off a theory that kinda correlates with what happened at the beginning of Star Trek: Generations.
EDIT: This part of Generations is what I'm talking about :
Part 1:
Part 2:
Part 3:

Yeah, there's definitely some time travel going on in this one because if you've seen the 2nd version of the second trailer (not on the official site oddly) it shows Nimoy as an old Spock at the very end instead of Nero.
