| Gonna avoid Twitter completely. I don't even like Facebook. MSN is my vice still haha |

24 hours into twitter, and I've noticed a lot of bugs... for some stupid reason it won't show all the icons of people I'm "following"... and the server has been "busy" twice hah Is twitter ready for the explosion? |
twitter wasn't ready a year ago with 1% of the people on it. |

So, after considering twitter a bit more.
Twitter as social networking tool to get status updates on your friends making soup = pretty lame.
Twitter as a social aggregation tool similar to RSS but not needing 1 website to push news to you, but as a collection of people posting news / stories / links / tech tips / etc = not as lame, but still not convinced of it's usefulness either.
ie: Follow a bunch of people who post things related to Web Development vs subscribing to an RSS feed from 3 or 4 different sites. |

Jon, these two guys run twitter. Ask them about your issue.

But really you don't need the icons on the side as long as you have the feed of the people that you are following. that's what counts. if they aren't saying anything, they are not important. |

good point, so profiles are less important?

yup.
you don't care what the person's bio is, just what they have to say at the moment. or what link they post, or if they uploaded a photo. 1 photo at a time. it's very basic.
if you want to know more about the person that just posted you can click on their name and get just their feed but really who care what they said 2 months ago. |

true...
I do like to see what feeds people are following tho..
I'm also surprised there isn't like a main home page for it... like one giant feed on what new celebs or channels are joining on... know what I mean? There is zero advertising money on it so far, which is nice, but I think they need it lol |
