Myspace is all I need.

lol.

Facebook is nothing like Twitter.

I use both for different reasons.

But seriously, to those that don't get it or don't want to get it. I am totally fine with it. There are things I don't get and want to get. No reason to put it down.

Eventually you will see the light or not. It's not going to be because of me. I have been using twitter for over a year now and only recently really realized a lot of the benefits.

I like all of Stylez uses for twitter. Good stuff.

If they dont... I will when I return on sunday

I use Twitter everyday, I may not post on it all the time, but that's not the point. For me it's about functionality and it being a useful component in my life.

I follow the updates of people and resources that are useful to me. For example, @Marketingprofs. Everyday I get a huge dosage of great marketing related articles, that are conveniently aggregated, from all over the web for my viewing on my twitter homepage. Twitter adds a ton of value since I didn't have to go out and expense my time and energy to find the articles.

@Kleinenberg, anybody surprised I follow him on Twitter? This DJ-turned-Online Marketing Genius rebranded his website to showcase his presence on various online social networks. Including Twitter. If it wasn't for Twitter, I wouldn't know that he's working on a new album, or that "Pure Pacha: Mixed by Sander Kleinenberg" Triple disc comp. is coming out in June.

I try to post useful links on twitter myself because really, it's a network of value adding machines...or, ummm, people!

I hope that my links add value to other people's lives. It might be the marketing article I post, it might be my excitement for Sander Kleinenberg at Tribe, or a quick 140 character review of some Nike Pursue Earphones (P.S. Tara, Keep my Sony's), but part of the beauty of twitter is if somebody isn't adding value, they're simply disintermediated from the value chain.

Twitter might not be for everybody, or every business. But it has had an undeniable impact on the way brands create 1-to-1 relationships with their customers, and on the other side of the mirror, the way consumers engage with their favorite brands.

look at @Starbucks:
http://twitter.com/Starbucks

Nearly every user that follows them, they follow back. Every post on their twitter page is a reply to another user, or sometimes even multiple users.

People can be brands too.

barack Obama? Used twitter to let people know what state/city his "vote for change" rallies were in. Announced Biden would be his running-mate on Twitter before the news networks knew. (of course, they probably follow him anyways so really they did)

Shaq updates his twitter with his location and hands out tickets to people who show up within a certain timeframe.

"In the ritz carlton wt my agent whoeva touches me gets two tickets tomorro"

the point: Its about adding value. If you dont want value added to your life, or can't find something on twitter to add value to your life, then twitter isn't for you. Now, go stalk your friends facebook photos and enjoy whatever social network you feel adds value.

For insurance, I bet at least one person will read between the lines and think I'm saying "facebook doesn't add value", well i'm not. Purely and simply: participate in whatever social network you feel adds value for YOU.

screw that. My plans for a revolution must remain top secret.

Meh. For the people who say " no, no you don't know anything because it's all different" It really isn't. You "follow" people. On Facebook there is a good chance that person you are following either has a profile who you have added or a page that you are a fan of. Same updates. Same info. Same thing. You've probably added..sorry are following all your friends who you have on Facebook. Just seems like that much more time consuming.

What I'm wondering is where the name Twitter came from?
