This thread reminds me that Lira quit a while ago.
Who is going to do lengthy philosophizierizering threads now that JiveBoJingles and Lira are gone? |
It's all in your hands now.
Go forth and philosophise. |

Okay, here goes:
If a man forcibly has sex with a prostitute while she is working...is it rape or theft?

| oh, also, the internet saved my ass from being thrown to the street 2-3 times in the last month. |

| I'd become so addicted to the internet that the moment I was disconnected from the massive networks world wide; i'd end up figuring out a way to get reconnected for free because the internet would of told me how. |

The last couple moves I made I was internetless for several weeks and I thought I was going to lose my mind.
Being across the country from my entire family, the internet has become my primary form of communication with them. Then there is my obsession, like everyone else, in letting the internet suck countless hours of my life away. Additionally, being in school, the internet is a huge resource tool for me. There have been so many times the internet has come to the rescue... not to mention, I have been using it to learn how to cook real food lately!
I NEED THE INTERNET!!
I know I could be internetless for a year and be fine if I was in a situation that accommodated it well.
In the meantime, I need to go waste my time playing games on the internet. |

I often wonder how many divorces, relationship break ups, arrests, and child molestings can be directly attributed to the internet. I bet the numbers are staggering. It can be an evil tool.
However, I can't ing live without internet access. If I don't know what's going on in the world, I go crazy. If I go on vacation and I don't have it, I'm fine for like a week... then when I get home the first thing I do is try to see what I've missed in cyberspace while on vacation. |

Yeah, well I often wonder how many divorces, relationship break ups, arrests, and child molestings can be directly attributed to a person's internet connection being cut off. :p |

without the internet for a year, i'd not gain nearly as much pointless trivia from wikipedia, have a harder time finding about good books, movies, games to entertain myself with, definitely have a harder time job hunting.
mainly i love the internet for instant messaging. i dont use facebook/etc since i feel the people i want to keep in touch w/ i'll either talk to them on the phone or chat via IM. IM is just such a cheap and efficient way to keep in touch w/ someone real time, share music n pictures. |
