| Is this what Burak was talking about... The Tiesto event? I thought the "Electronic Festival" were all non-trance groups last year? Or am I thinking of something else? |

| No doubt NYC needs an EDM festival (minitek was a good attempt, not). Like it was stated before, the east coast doesn't really have anythign other than Ultra. I can't believe an event promoter hasnt picked this one up yet because there is a lot of money to be made. It could be huge with the amount of trance, house, techno fans around these parts. |

Yup. I was slightly off on the dates, but that was the banner I saw and it said, "Armin van Buuren at" at the top. Supposedly the Tiesto thing is a seperate event at the end of Septmber, but I still don't think any of us haven't heard any official confirmation on that.
2 Day event? Are we getting our own Electric Daisy Carnival? Probably not, but lets hope its something close. At least its a start. |

| I didn't specifically see it, but With 2,000+ people there I think somebody else would of seen it too. It doesn't make any sence for showing the flyer at the very end. Most Advertisements are showen through out the night, not at the end. It is very possible that who ever was doing the graphics put the ad up by mistake. The event could be happening elsewhere in the country or an old ad still archived on a hard drive. |

I'd agree with you, if there wasn't a website about it. |

Where in central park are shows like these held? I thought that the concerts on the green that they have are in a massive area - can these shows not be held there?
What about Randall's Island? There are a lot of fields and open space over there and noise probably won't be as big of an issue as it is in Manhattan.
Also, I'm sure other people saw this, but maybe nobody who did is a TA. People on these forums are only a small percentage of those who go to these shows. |
