My friend and I came up with this idea where the world's top dj's come together with rave dj's for a 2-3 day festival on Central Park's Great Lawn. 100's of dj's and millions of people coming together for one reason- the love of the music. We have spoken to many dj's, promoters, even sponsors, and we are getting a lot of support. We need everybody involved in electronica for their support, especially the fans. If we could get all the fans support, to help spread the word, do as much as we can, we can make this thing happen, even make it an annual event! Write back tell us what you think.
idk. |

if its in central park its going to suck.....how can you have a festival in that small area that needs to shut down by 10pm? |
Nowhere in NYC an outdoor event will go past 11 pm. It's NYC law, nothing to do with the venue.
With that said, I would love to see a festival around these parts with the respective afterparties. I was kind of expecting Made to do something like that, they are really good at their job, have the money and the connections for sponsors and supporters to make this possible and I expect a different kind of festival with no room for error. Expectations will be higher also because they will prob charge a crazy amount of money like they always do for their big events. |

They were handing out flyers in Miami as well..
It looks promising. Thinking maybe they will have mulitple venues and such since they have really broadened who they promote.
They don't over charge for WMC events or their smaller events so I hope that it is fairly priced. |

i dunno about millions of people showing up on the great lawn...i think that guy was over the top on that part lol ,but if its in a pretty big location with different area's/tents with different kinds of dj's and edm, then thats good
i dont wanna go there and just hear trance, but then again this is still during the summer and alot of djs are still in europe doing ibiza/other festivals so we will have to see on who will be avalible.
but if they do get alot of different types of dj's and have a great location and good setup then i hope alot of people turn out and make it the start of something big |

Thats right ^
And another thing that I notice is that this does look a little bit more legit than the Tiesto in September thread since a website exists (Im also hoping we get more information on the Tiesto event soon). But its still just speculation and Im still unsure why they would put the ad on at the end of the night. Just from the responses here barely anyone saw the ad. Im hoping someone from Made posts more information regarding the actual location and who is signed on soon. PVD is in NY a week earlier so Im not really seeing him playing at this festival. What if Tiesto is being asked these weeks to perform at this? You never know, this might be the start of NY's own "Ultra". |

No doubt NYC needs an EDM festival (minitek was a good attempt, not). Like it was stated before, the east coast doesn't really have anythign other than Ultra. I can't believe an event promoter hasnt picked this one up yet because there is a lot of money to be made. It could be huge with the amount of trance, house, techno fans around these parts. |

How about holding Godskitchen Global Gathering at the big globe at Flushing Meadow Corona Park here in Queens? I bet they would never get a permit though |
