Regular Season is over tomorrow.
The standings are currently so tight right now...its crazy. Here are my match predictions for playoffs round 1
lakers vs jazz (Lakers in 7)
nuggets vs mavs (Nuggets in 5)
ROCKETS vs hornets (Rockets in 5)
blazers vs spurs (spurs in 7)

lakers vs jazz (Lakers in 5) Lakers are too good, and Jazz can never win on the road.
nuggets vs mavs (Nuggets in 6) This is going to be the most interesting series in the west conf first round. nuggets swept the mavs in the regular season, but i think the mavs can squeeze at least 2 wins here, but at the end too much firepower by the nuggets.
ROCKETS vs hornets (Rockets in 5) Too much Yao and Artest for the Hornets. Hornets never passed 90 points in their 4 games againts the Rockets.
blazers vs spurs (blazers in 6) As much as i want to see the spurs go ahead in to the 2nd round, that looks bleak with an unhealthy duncan and ginobli out for the rest of the year. blazers shouldn't have any problems, but i would be surprised if the spurs don't lose this without a fight. mason and finley just don't have enough to make up what ginobli brings to the floor.
as for the Eastern conf
cavs vs pistons (cavs in 6) bron shouldn't have much problems against the pistons. i see the pistons try to pound it on the floor without ben wallace on the floor, but bron is just too much to handle.
celtics vs 76ers (celtics in 5) as much as we are seeing the celtics really struggling, i see them pick up their game, and get into playoff mode once the playoffs start. celtics too much for the 76ers.
magic vs bulls (bulls in 7) this is the upset i would like to see. i like the magic, but the bulls have been playing solid ball since they got salmons and miller via trade. i see the bulls fighting hard, and outhustling the magic.
hawks vs heat (hawks in 5) the hawks have been lying low the whole year. they are a very talented team, and should have no problems against the heat. i am sure joe johnson can hold down dwyane wade to less than 30. |

Chicago vs Boston (Boston in 6)
Philly vs Orlando (Orlando in 5)

For tonight's games
Bulls pull one off in Chicago
Mavs do the same and win in Dallas.
Lakers go up 3-0 on the Jazz.
Got my tix for tomorrows game. Really expecting a great performance by the Rockets. |
