How swine flu spreads in humans
Reuters
April 24, 2009
A new strain of influenza is infecting people in Mexico and the United States and may have killed up to 60 people in Mexico, global health officials said today.
The CDC has analyzed samples of the H1N1 virus from some of the U.S. patients, all of whom have recovered, and said it is a never-before-seen mixture of viruses from swine, birds and humans.
Humans who have sex with birds and swine (especially at the same time) are especially at risk.
No, really! I made that last part up. :wtf: |

*whew* Glad I can still eat carnitas tacos and other pork goodies. |

| I got really sick after Coachella...and still recovering...but what scared my family the most was the way I was sweating for 3 nights. My bed was literally drenched, like 10 gallons of water was poured onto it. My parents were actually frightened for my life and for a moment I was too. Glad I'm showing signs of recovery! |

Not sure if this is super credible, but scary nonetheless:

| Nothing out of the ordinary, except for smoking 3 times as much as I normally do! I guess you can factor in the poor nutrition and sleep for 3 days in that heat. |

| Same as bird flu and all those other "epidemics." It's being blown completely out of proportion. Keep your heads on straight, wash your hands, eat healthy, and see a doctor if you're not feeling well. That's all it takes, people! |

Avian flu is not known for human to human transmission. Only those who came in contact with infected birds were known to contract it. Swine flu has documented cases (even in America) of human to human transmission. That's a whole new wildcard if you ask me. |
