BTW, there are a few people who have sent me PMs with links to their remixes. Once you finish it (or just want some feedback on your WIP), go ahead and post it on the Producer's forum (or other forums) and post a link to that thread here if you want as well. It may be a good idea to make it clear in the subject line that you're posting a remix of this song. I'd much rather have other producers give you feedback because (a) I'm terrible at remixing, and (b) I'm obviously a little biased. ;)
I'm going to create a separate mp3 player just like the one on my myspace (see link in my sig) this weekend that is dedicated to this song and all of the remixes. Once you're done with your remix, it would be great if I could get:
1) a good quality (i.e, 192kpbs or higher) mp3, and
2) an image that will display along with your remix (see my mp3 player for examples). It should look good and be legible at 134x134 pixels. Use your logo or whatever, but please keep it clean - my mom reads my myspace. ;) |

Ok, since not many people are posting yet, here is a snippet of my Telescope "Look Ahead"Mix

I am not happy yet with the vocals timingwise in the verses I've just dropped them as delivered, but i think i am going to strech & Groove to get them more tight.
There is a lot more work to be done, but if gives a nice flavour of the big picture :D
Furthermore this mix is done with only 1 ear, since my other ear is still full of tampax of my operation 2 weeks ago (going to be removed on Tuesday > the TAMPAX, not the ear ):D |

You vocals are bad timed, they have a pre-count on them.
I.e. while singing 'Searching for youuuuu', the kick has to start between 'for' and 'you', than they'll be timed correctly. |

wow dude, you got the discover sound here 100%. i praise you for that. Unfortunately I don't think the discover sound works for this song, it seems out of place. But i give you props for great production.

Ugh, that isn't really the discover sound, i felt the song lacked a bit of drive and could have really tried to fit in the vocals a little bit differently. Here they felt more as if they didn't belong.
Though i am a fan of the track in general, a very nice job all in all and i really look forward to hearing the final version if you are going to be fixing it up! |
