Thanks, I just need to do a final mixdown, and a few arrangement tweaks here and there, but what you heard is pretty much what's going to be the final product. |

Ok, here is the first full draft, This will proabbly be the most poppy version of the contest:

what has been done:
Vocal dynamics edditing and de-essing
Autotune :whip: (there is some "uncertainty" in here voice, mainly in the verses)
I think the're top in the (pre)chorusses.
what still needs to be done:
Vocal TIMING of the verses
filters instruments
riding the mix faders (need to add more L O W )
some minor tweaks on the arrangement
tomorrow I've got my right ear back an can start mixing a final version, some kick double triggers, (everty now and then you'll hear a phased kick) |

Pretty much got everything laid out except the intro and outro
just need to do some arrangement tweaks and make it a lil more huge n fatten it up a bit and re-do some of the mixing.

I'm almost done with arrangement, mixing is going to be done until the end of the week but yea mostly through with it.
I can't wait until I hear everyone else's mixes, since I've denied myself (for better or for worse) to listen to any other versions, even the original, I haven't listened to yet. |

A friend of mine pointed out the vocals are too loud in the mix. I agree with him but I just want to hear your guys' opinion on that, and the overall mix.

Like what you've got, so far.
The high end, in general, while not at all shrill, seems to be fairly dominant in the track. Mind you, I'm working on the same tune so my ears may be a bit fatigued.
That said, I'm kind of liking the vocals in relation to the other instruments and wouldn't notch them down below one or two (3 possibly) dB's. Her voice sounds exceedingly clear and crisp and I really dig their presence in your mix.
Well, done rendering... back to the grind. |
