If vipzone says it - it MUST be true!

Some people may or may not like vipzone but all my best lead sounds have come from them (virus pack my favorite).
I just emailed them asking them if they ever plan on making a Virus 2 pack and thought this was interesting which was in their FAQ.
4. Use good sound synth sources.
There are already some plugins that sound great, however if you only can afford it, invest in a best synth hardware. Hardware in 90% of cases sounds better than software. There are also many different samples on the internet. A lot of samples like sf2, wav, reason refills, midi, vocal samples and acapellas, you may find on this site - also a lot of free samples.
"90%" eh?? I agree 100%.
So why is it on a site like this we get so many people arguing that fact? But then you get a well known company that makes sounds for a LIVING (damn good sounds) and their opinion is for hardware.
One of these days I'm trashing every vst I have and using nothing but 1 good synth, variation. Anyone here produce with just one hardware synth and nothing else? |

People on here aren't pros. |

Do we really need yet another thread on this tired subject?
This is exactly the sort of useless flamebait that everyone talking about the lack of moderation wants to disappear from this forum. |

| I think hardware is better sounding in most cases, but 90 or 100% of times ? no way, software has so much features to offer over hardware..
The whole discussion hardware vs software is ridiculous because the winning formula in EVERY single case of synthesizer equipment, is to use the best of both worlds. It is as simple as that. |

Great, you can do something called "peacing out".
The problem isn't "flamebait", its the people who are aware they have no self control for flaming and come into threads where they feel "baited". |

I think software is made that way to compensate for what it doesn't have. |

If I got mod, you'd be one of the first people I'd ban you flameworthy wit.:gsmile:
VIP zone clearly has a vested interest in making you think that hardware sounds better given that they sell samples of this "amazing" hardware. If they can convince you that their hardware sounds so much better and they've sampled it, then they've sold you their product haven't they?
And you can't even see that conflict of interests? or are you so stupid you don't think before you post? And who the are VIPzone anyway? Aren't they the guys who do the samples for FL? So a really credible source to start with :eyespop:
Why don't you just buy a virus TI, penetrate it, and electrocute yourself in a painful place. See what sort of sounds you make then face. |

I'm thinking of producing a trance track with just my Little Phatty.
The thing that I like most about hardware is the tactile quality of it, though. I enjoy software for its flexibility and modularity, and some of it sounds great to me, like the VSTs I mentioned in my "Analog Analog Analog" thread. But IMO nothing beats the fun of turning the physical knobs on a synth and hearing the sound transform. It's just so much more inspiring than clicking around on a screen.
