Anyone who only listens to one genre of electronica is missing out imo
I've loved it all: Trance, House, Techno and breaks+jungle in small doses. You need variety or else things get dry...
In terms of trance, there has always been a ton of Trance out there. You've always had to sift through the garbage - which is at the start of TA and for years I went out of my way to post Singles on TA that I thought stood out on their own merits rather than who produced them. I always hated the fact that sub-standard tracks got more attention than they deserved just because it was produced by someone big. There are so many undiscovered gems out there ppl..

Genre fanboys are retarded. Seems to be a bunch of Techno fanboys around these parts lately. A good tune is a good tune. I hop from genre to genre. If I get bored of trance I'll see what's going on in house, then take a peak into techno and then cycle back around to Trance. For some reason people love to single out trance. I swear this thread has been made ever since 1999.

I don't hate on any. Believe I was trying to defend trance in Detroit this weekend but of course it was like 10,000 to 1. haha.
Either way - right now it's more quantity with trance - not quality.
Alot of trance producers are the same way. They put out - just to have their name out there. I only see few constatnly putting out quality over quantity.
Either way I love any edm. I will take the 3 big genres over anything else.
The order of priority is the only thing that changes.

I looooove Moonbeam but I don't think they'll blow up... Their is so abstract, trippy, and well-done that the average trance "fan" won't understand it... I saw a discussion like this in another forum, where a lot of people basically agreed along the lines of "Hey we don't give a about putting thought or emotion into a track, we just wanna dance." I'll continue to loooove Moonbeam stuff though!

In my mind, they are huge, but I say that from a dj's perspective. I have been playing their tracks for years now. Its really interesting to sort of musically trace how they started out...producing straight progressive house initially, before getting into the more abstract, deeper techno sounds, and finally to the trance stuff most recently.
I agree though, I don't see them blowing up like guys like Menno, Gareth, JOC, what have you... Their sound just isn't as generally appealing as those guys. Whatever though...:)

i find them appealing, personally i think the track "about you" is fantastic. although, i'm not sure it's something you would hear or would want to hear in a live set; might not translate well in a trance club atmosphere. that track in the youtube video above also doesn't sound like it would be a big club banger but no doubt it's good. definitely stuff you can listen to while working or hanging out at home.

I noticed the same thing happens to Lee Burridge sometimes, some folks just don't his sound or thinks its too weird. I for one love'em and if you don't you should more then likely be hit with a taser lmao.
