I'm finding it more difficult to do automation. Im thinking of purchasing a controller to help me to this quicker. any suggestions?

i've heard of the Faderfox LV1..any good feedback?

DAW: Ableton LIVE 7
Cryogen
What do you want to automate ?

FX,reveb,EQ, some automation on vsti's
Cryogen
Doesn't sound like something you should struggle with. Open the automation, create some nodes, move them around. Simple really.

What are you struggling with exactly ?

You could do it live, any controller with knobs or sliders would be capable of this.

Is it because Live doesn't have curves? Yes, it is a royal ing pain in the ass but you can get by. Any sort of midi keyboard with a fader/knob does help though.

FLStudio is the most automatable synth DAW there is. 4 clicks maximum and you can get automation clips of any function on any vsti.

Id suggest trying other daws.

That is an extremely moronic suggestion. Just leave us alone already.

And you are an extreme moron. The guy is clearly haveing trouble with Abletons messed up automation system, the intelligent thing to do is to try other daws, before you go spending thousands of dollars on gear you don't even know you need.

What's "messed up" about Ableton's automation? It's quite easy to use.

Well obviously, people are complaining. [Thus this thread] So either the user or the program [i'm betting the program] are messed up, either way, trying another DAW will always help.

orton, no one is starting trouble. I'm giving sound advice. But hey, you guys like to argue and act retarded, we can make trouble if you want, otherwise I suggest you shut up.
Fledz
You're not giving sound advice, you're giving terrible advice. I said the automation in Abes is a pain in the ass, not so that you need to go and get a new sequencer.
