That is crazy. A few years ago my mom and grandma had a flight and something happened that they could choose which airline to go on and my mom was trying to go to this airline called Taca (I think) but my grandma for some reason was telling her no that she had a bad feeling and told her to wait for the other airline. My mom was pissed but whatever she waited and it turns out the plane my mom wanted to go out crashed halfway to its destination. Crazy as :nervous:

Wonder how terrifying it is to be in a plane that's going down. Horrible way to go.

i knew a girl in middle school that was supposed to be on the 9/11 plane with her family, because her father was getting promoted to a better job in los angeles. swear she didn't talk for days after that happened. her grandma ended up getting really sick that day which caused them to stay and take care of her for a few more weeks before they left

I guess it is not that odd considering how common overbooking is but anyway...

'A French couple have told how they begged to fly home on the doomed jet - but were turned away because it was full.

The husband and wife were desperate to return home to France, even trying to pull strings through contacts at the French embassy in Brazil to get on board, but the airline refused to let them fly.

Amina Jaffiol, 47, said: 'We were trying everything we could to get on board that plane because we needed to get back to France for work.

'But despite all our efforts, and even getting friends at the embassy to help, Air France refused to let us.

'Now we feel both very lucky and horrified at how close we came to death.' '

They can't verify whether these are from the same plane or not until tomorrow :(
