As I said previously, this music will always be cool. Your track selection was impeccable; all the tracks had a nice quirk or hook without being gimmicky. I particularly liked the one with the faint female vocals and the other one with the heavy, organic piano with very artificial bleeps.
The mixing was awesome, and yet in the past you have not seemed confident. You're certainly not a one-trick pony; some of the transitions were quick and obvious, while others were slower and subtle. I think it's great that you know when to use which. Your flow was also excellent; I thought the opening track set the mood perfectly.
On the last track, when the first hint of melody came in, I was like "holy , this is awesome!" However, by the end I was sick of the overly repetitive percussion and the melody with little variation. That track has huge potential, I would love to hear a good remix. |

Like I said some posts ago, now that I listen to the set I can see that I might have gotten a little carried away with The Uppershelf, LOL. I love the track and might never get bored with it, but I can totally understand how the repetitiveness of it can bore some people. I will have another chance to put it on a mix again by the end of the year, and use it in a much better way. :) |

Oscar, I don't know why, but I completely missed this one. Anyways, I took a listen tonight and really enjoyed it. The track selection was pretty refreshing...I really dig this deep, chill, style of house and unfortunately I don't hear enough of it. Mixing was tight as always.
Looking forward to the next one. :p |
