Found out my dog of 10 years died at home, completely unexpected...the worst part is being so far away. I won't be home until Christmas at the earliest and I had been quite looking forward to seeing the pup. Damn damn damn.
How is it rational to be so attached to animals?

I forgot how much this sucks, it's been about 11 years since I went through this last time. I'm amazed how much this has been consuming my thoughts; the rational part of me says "it was just a dog" but my emotions say otherwise. Part of the family, no kidding.
I know it'll get better with time...but damn. Trying not to think about it. |
