I just dont want to make money off the songs thats not my thing
If you check the records i sampled that would be way cooler

it sounds like it was made long time ago on a cheap sampler and wasn't even mixed properly |
Its low quality on purpose 32kbps encoded thats good enough to get a idea of what it sounds like

why are you on this forum honestly? do you really have nowhere else to go to promote your music? |
I promote on strictly Canadian music boards & in the real world to music fans
My main reason im on this board is because I like Trance music |

You're not a producer, you're not an artist, you make nothing original.
Please. Do tell. What the are you really promoting? From what I (and almost everyone on this messageboard) see, you got nothing.
I dont know how you think you're a success when you have nothing to show for it (other than just pissing a lot of people off with your presence) |

Why does it bother you so much to see me succeed?
Everyone judges success differently to me being on the radio & egtting my song played as well as getting you guys to listen to my music makes me a success
Keep working hard on your thing & you will succeed to the level you want dont bring others down because they define success in a different manner thats not cool |

I think what LKD, and myself included, don't understand is how you can claim success, when...
1) having a song played on an amateur university radio station with an extremely minimal audience counts for absolutely nothing...
and
2) it wasn't even YOUR song, as you just basically arranged samples of other peoples works. And don't try to say that once you put them together they become yours, because as has already been explained, canadian and international copyright laws dictate otherwise. |

It all depends on what you set as your goals.....if his goal was to get something he created on radio then he has succeeded.
I like to set my goals low so that way I always succeed. As long as my piss doesn't burn every morning and night I feel its a successful day. |

If I get played on commercial radio that would be successful to you?
Radio is Radio dont define by the size of the station sometimes you hear the best new music on community radio way before commercial radio
I would rather break music to a smaller audience at first & have it grow later
Dont Follow copyright Law because it always changes follow Music Law thats universal
LKD even said I havent done anything different than anyone before me
So if my song isnt real neither is house music techno hip hop trance etc
That song in whole is mine the parts are not
Have you heard the same song anywhere else? Maybe you heard parts but never the whole |

If you did an interview on commercial radio, based on music that you created, without simply arranging other peoples samples, then yes, I would classify that as a success.

Obviously Radio is radio, but if your measuring success, amateur radio with minimal listeners is not the same as 'commercial' mainstream radio with hundreds of thousands of listeners.

wtf is music law? and i fail to see how, even if their is some sort of universal music law, it subsequently thwarts international copyright law. From what i can tell, your basically asking to get sued. And how does copyright law always change? It's pretty straight forward, if you take someones without permission, and pass it off as yours, its illegal. Pretty elementary concept.

The song is real, in the sense that other people created the tracks that you PLAGIARIZED samples from without permission. But that finished product does not legally belong to you. And Techno and House music can be plagarized as well, however in order to make money and be successfull, artists spend hours upon hours creating something themselves from scratch, and not stealing entire elements from different producers without permission, piecing it together, and marketing/selling/promoting the final product as theirs.
