Look, just because you tricked some 2-bit semi-professional radio station to play one of your horrible tracks (which they strongly regret, I might add) doesn't mean .
The fact that one of your "DJ" friends from the institution you broke out of has played your music at a wedding reception is nothing to be proud of either.
It's not even your music. There's nothing original in the tracks you put together, at it's heart, your music can be compared to a collage put together by a 5 year-old made from cut-outs from old Cosmo and Macleans magazines. The difference? That 5-year old won't refer to their collage as a 'picture' they made or a piece of art that should be hung up at a museum.
You're receiving negative energy because your horrible music makes our ears bleed. Karma's a bitch, ain't it? |

1st off I have no DJ friends if any dj plays my music its because they like it
I speak to djs in friendly & respectful manner because thats how I try to treat people

Well The museum decides what art to put up not the creator of the art
The child wouldnt refer his art as anything they would just show you what they have done with the toold they have
Once I start mixing music & adding elements in it it becomes my music
by your statement House Music is just a copy of Disco

If you add your personality in the music It does start becoming a part of you
Is that a crazy idea or something?
This board is probobly home to some of the most hardcore music fans
I know most of you dont like my music which is cool
I respect your honest feedback & comments in regards to it thats why I post it on here
The big secret is a good thing but I have to drag it out a bit Im sorry
But its going to worth it if you are a music fan
I think alot of artists producers & djs will make fun of me my music & my idea
But Music fans will love it
Hopefully you guys can be patient with me because im a little slow |

Just because you sample a part of someones track and add some random flanger or reverb or whatever effect you chose, and throw in another bassline sample or melody from someone else, does not make that final product "yours".... |

Not even. That's the U of T radio station. I think they're a non-profit.
To be honest, I don't mind that he felt the need to post about his "tune" being played somewhere, however horrible it is. But some of the follow-up gloating is pretty ridiculous:
"I already got my music played by DJs in Canada"
(No, you got it played by one radio DJ at a station with 12 listeners)
"they just don't play it at the events you attend."
(Also known as "clubs" or "social events")
"Once I start mixing music & adding elements in it it becomes my music"
(Canadian copyright law seems to disagree) |
