- The UFC offered Fedor a 6 fight, 30 million dollar contract. That's 5 mil a fight

- The UFC offered Fedor an immediate title shot

- Lesnar/Fedor would be the biggest PPV in MMA history (we assume), and the UFC offered M-1 Global a cut of the PPV on top of Fedor's purse.

- Fedor was free to wear as many M-1 logoed items as he wished.

- The UFC also relented on allowing Fedor to compete in combat sambo.

Now I know this may not be 30 million in guaranteed money, probably a 2.5 to show 2.5 to win like usual UFC contracts, but that would still be 15 million in guaranteed $ (and 465 million russian rubles!) on top of the ppv money. If this is true, and this was not taken...we will never see Fedor in the UFC.

something seems off.

that was way more money than i think it would cost to promote events in Russia/sign other guys from Red Devil, which were demands in previous negotiations with Fedor. i don't think Dana would be that generous just in order to stick to his policies.

i also think Fedor would probably agree to those terms posted. hrmmm... probably with the added demand he can fight in any MMA event held in Russia.

but time will let us know i guess.

I'd have to agree, the numbers seemed way higher than any current UFC fighter. The originating source is from LA times again, who were the ones who posted that article on monday that the deal was being finalized. So I'm not sure who to believe, but I do think that Fedor's manager and owner of M-1 Vadim is making all these decisions for him. I think Fedor needs more control over this stuff. Vadim is just trying to spread the name of his company, and using Fedor as the flag to do it.

Time will tell though

Well, looks like everything went smoothly :wtf:

So did he get offered that much money or not?

Either way, it's not looking good.

:wtf:

Also, man BJ is going down if KenFlo acts like this Saturday.

fedor then.

dana said it right when he said you can't be the best unless you want to fight the best.

Btw, Fedor signed with Strikeforce. Epic ing fail.

I predict Fedor signing with UFC eventually.

That fight card is bound to happen, I hope soon though...

Strikeforce signs Fedor Emelianenko to multi-fight deal, M-1 to co-promote

http://mmajunkie.com/news/15713/bre...-co-promote.mma

What a joke.. I wonder how much money they gave up for the co-promotion?

There is no talent in Strikeforce’s heavy weight division. You have the champ and who else?

What it boils down to is Fedor and M-1 trying to use his name to launch a successful promotion company after Fedor retires. UFC was right not to let them co-promote.

lenazi
either way, the heavyweight division (at least to me) in any promotion is by far the most boring one, with 1 dimensional/lame fights.

the same can be said for boxing.

Well I am looking forward to seeing Fedor vs Overeem, and I like Brett Roger's too, but I need to see him get one more legit win in before Fedor. After that, I don't really see much more for Fedor in Strikeforce.
