Why is everything in life a mission? More specifically with customer service. No body takes pride in their job any more and falls through the cracks, orders are deleted/misplaced, refunds not refunded as promised, and then you lose time because you have to call customer service and you end up talking to some toolbag in ing India even though the company's headquarters is right up the street. And as much as I love the food and the people/culture, I ING HATE THE INDIAN ACCENT. Why? WHY do I get someone who sounds like a robot with an Indian accent every time I need to call a company about a mistake THEY made?
No one does what the they are supposed to do because no one gives a about their job any more and it's pissing me off.

My company is one of those. They're moving all the services like IT, Payables, etc. to the "Shared Service Centers" in Mumbai, Phillipines, etc. It really sucks dealing with them because they are a) so ing hard to understand and b) robots who just follow what their little manual says and don't have the tiniest little bit of common sense. I have been on hour long conference calls with these bastards randomly answering "Yes" or "No" because I can't for the love of God figure out what have I just been asked. |

| And the dude's name is always George, or Sam, but you know it's not George or Sam you're talking to. I've spoken with Georges and Sams, hell even Bobs, and they sound NOTHING like you motherfucker! |

it really just has to do with laziness and like i said, people not taking pride in their work like the old days. and a lot of it probably has to do with the people in charge. you have to take care of your employees/boost morale or else you're gonna get ty work product because you've got underpaid/underappreciated people working for you who aren't going to give a rats ass about your company/name.
it just seems like NOTHING ever gets done that is supposed to be done and you end up doing double the work. it's frustrating.

As these services get cheaper, the quality (service) goes down the toilet. It's the way it's all going. I'm with you though.
And yeah, the Indian accent sucks. |

Slylee, do you know what a tunneling electron microscope is? It's a really awesome device that, by using quantum mechanical effects, enables you to see things in gigantic magnification, going as far as showing you the very atoms that everything is made of.
If I were using that device right now I still wouldn't be able to locate my interest in your story. |
