to a certain extent, all cities have parties that cater to douchebags, but in vegas it seems all of them are. you have to dress like a douchebag just to enter any of the clubs. not just most of them, all of them!

vegas is nothing like ibiza, please stop drawing all comparisons. vegas is a toilet of exploitation built for unimaginative conventioneers, middle-aged empty-nesters, newly 21s and cable-tv types who've bought into the postcard hype of the town--wasting their time, money and vacation days roaming around in the middle of a desert from artificial environment to artificial environment trying to escape the fact of their mundane existence by holding on tightly to that glimmer of hope for the big winner or that chance encounter with the whore of your dreams, knowing all they'll ever really take home are 'crazy stories of the homies trying as hard as they can to be crazy'. that is all vegas is and will ever be.

I think you have a lot of growing up to do and have no clue what you are talking about as you obviously only se things one sided which is very childish.

so when i grow up, i will love vegas? i can't wait!

come on, vegas is like a giant strip club... everyone there just wants your wallet, everything appealing about the place is artificial, everything is structured to make you spend the most you can chasing a dream of some sort. there is no culture, no identity, no history, nothing to do but overpay for a marginal amount of unoriginal fun. and as it pertains to this thread, there isn't anything in the world of electronic music that has ever emerged from that town. i can appreciate your stance being a promoter there, your perspective spending time there like a local, but from the standpoint of outsiders visiting, facts are facts.

All I am saying is yes there are douche bags here but the reality is its like that in every city you go to.

Maybe there is more here because this is a city full of tourists but spare me with some of the comments you have said.

This right here shows ho clueless you are as i have ben booking every single DJ you can imagine in this town for the last 6 years and trust me, there has been all walks of life coming through.

Get your fact straight before you make comments you cannot back up.

How this for facts then,

how come places like Godskitchen and Goodlife bring in top talent every week and let all locals in free with open bars as well as comping several tables to many people each week.

Name me one city in the world that will do that??

Case closed actually!

So, as a matter of fact you can thank all those people coming here spending their money as if it was not for this we would not be able to provide our local scene with world class DJ's every week and open bars.

Again, name me once city that offers the locals this sort of option?

Tryst for instance, as a club, it was stunning, but I left after left than 10 minutes becuase there is truly nothing worse to me than a bunch of collared D-bags and botoxed trashslags all white-crunking to guns and roses mixed in to a lady gaga "house" mix.

I'll make sure to relay your message to my friend, who happens to be the resident DJ there. lol...

The times I've gone out to clubs in Vegas I had an amazing time. Everytime I been there, I been surrounded with awesome people.

Last Summer when I went to Wet Republic for Deep Dish, I was pretty much blown away. I'm a big guy, no six pack whatsoever only a keg or two! hahaha. The moment I walked into Wet Republic I can honestly say I felt intimidated. There was a lot of hot girls and "douche bags," all over the place.

I was wearing a Daft Punk T-shirt. It seemed like that was an ice breaker because out of nowhere I had really hot girls talking to me about Daft Punk and inviting me to their private hotel parties & inviting to go drink with them at their private cabanas. I also met a few out of town TA's and some people from Mexico. It's odd, I always run into friends from Mexico everywhere I go! lol.

Point being, the hospitality I received that day from strangers was amazing and second to none. It defenitely made my Vegas experience a unforgettable one. Up to this day, I keep telling all my friends about an amazing time I had there. Good times I tell you.

Yes, every city might have SOME douchebags, but vegas, is off the Chart. Douchebags only go where others do, and they don;t feel good (thank god) when outnumbered. It's like a collective roid thing or something.

Even in LA which has it's share of tacky in places, is nothing compared to vegas in terms of douchebags. In fact some clubs in vegas are like a giant sea of Douche. At the big nights I maybe see a dozen fully fledged D-bags at a big club in LA and in any big club in vegas you will see they are the majority of a given crowd (or at least the table and bottle service sections).

For s sake, there's even the Christrian Audigier nightclub on the strip!!!!

You're deluded if you don't see it in a club, especially somewhere like rehab or wet republic.

And yes, as I explained in my post two pages back, you simply can't compare IBIZA to Vegas.

i dunno, seems like the logical thing to do when you're having trouble pulling locals who know better into your dbag-filled clubs. and quite frankly if my club was attached to a million-dollar-a-day hotel-casino operation, i would not have a problem throwing pocket change at a promotion like that either.

Say what you want Rich,

I will still wake up every day, doing what I love, producing parties, booking great talent, proving for my family and hanging out with good people I know and new ones I meet as truth be told I have met some really nice people in this place you so call a hole.

Hmmm why have I never been fortunate enough to have been rejected admission from a club? By no means do I dress all fashionable, but I don't dress all trashy either. And to this date I never been been told I'm not allowed into a club because of how I dress.

The only time I wasn't allowed into a club in Vegas was because my friend had an expired ID. Other than that, the bouncers even got us out of the line and walked us through. And this was even before I even knew anyone in Vegas. Honestly, I know quite a few people there but I don't like to ask for hook ups in Vegas or anywhere. I would much rather not bother my friends.
