I'm down with the Americans with Disabilities Act... that's cool. But I can't get over 2 things:

1) Both sides of my family for decades in Massachusetts being taxed out the butthole thanks to Teddy.

2) The memos that were uncovered on May 14th, 2003 showing how, between 1980-1983 he directed fellow senator John Tunney, throuh Tunney's firm, to meet with KGB General Secretary Yuri Andropov and develop a strategy together on the down-low that would undermine Reagan's Cold War foreign policy and re-election efforts. Andropov died so it never ended up working out... but that is unforgivable.

I'm just pointing out why people do and probably should care somewhat.

Like I said, not a huge fan of him, but he accomplished quite a bit.

Taxes in NC aren't that bad when considering some of the alternatives; way better than up in New England. Property taxes that cost me about $900 per year would run me about $4500 up there for the same size property. It's a bummer man

People living inside their means and helping out others by paying more money in taxes?

Sounds good to me.

I would gladly give up 50, even 75% of my paycheck if I knew I would receive positive benefits for me and my community.

Helping others is un-American. You got boot straps, use em. Born into poverty? Go yourself. Inner city? Ask someone who gives a . Drug addict? Go die somewhere I can't see you. I earned all 750,000 of this salary by nailing those board meetings, I can't afford another 2k in taxes, need to buy that new plasma screen for my 5 year old, Conner, to play his PS3 on. Which will create jobs and help the people making minimum wage at BestBuy. I think.

USA! USA!

You're British, so don't take this personally, but your opinion doesn't mean to us on a subject like this. Taxes are the whole reason we fought you for our independence in the first place.
