anyone love (tossing) salad as much as i do? it's gotten to the point where i can't eat dinner without (tossing) salad first. i go to the grocery at least 3 times a week for fresh produce for my salads.
i just made one with chicken strips, pineapple chunks and ranch dressing:crazy:
anyone have a great salad recipe?
sliced strawberries in the dark leafy kind of lettuce with a vinegarette is amazing too. throw in a strong cheese like gorgonzola to mix w/ the sweetness of the berry. omg. |

eww. Dressings are awful. I have 2 preferences for 'good' salads
5 radish
2 sticks celery
2 chinese leaves
strips of cucumber
1/4 yellow pepper
peeled strips of carrot
it has a great look in colour, the heat from the radish, coolness to counteract that from the cucumber, some sweetness from the carrot and pepper and the celery gives a crunch. Serve with a boiled egg or some freshly baked bread and <3
the other one, mostly as a side to other things, eg with a chicken breast or something
baby spinach leaves
red swiss chard
watercress
baby rocket
adds a more bitter taste, but works against whatever it's being eaten with. Great to eat with nicely seasoned burgers too :p |
