You are bashing the word of mouth transfer of information, but 95% of your knowledge is based on word of mouth. Have you ever been to Taiwan? Probably not, so the only way you know it exists is by word of mouth...because some others say it exists, so you believe it exists. You've likely never been to Chile, the Oval Office in D.C., and you have not met Issac Newton, Plato, nor have you ever liekly seen a Minke Whale off the coast of australia. You have probably never been to Australia, you have probably never even been to scotland, you have probably never seen a nuclear explosion, and you most certainly have not met Charles Darwin, Hemmingway or Jules Vern, you have never been to space, so you don't know if there is no air, the list just goes on and on and all of these things ive listed, you only know they exist by word of mouth. That is infact the most reliable source you have. Other people said they existed, so you accept.
So do you really want to bash the facility of narration? Because it won't get you anywhere. |

Your logic baffles me, it really does. Are you saying no images or video material of, say, Australia exists? Or that the people I've met from there vanish into thin air as soon as they disappear from my line of sight?
Not only does your logic make no sense whatsoever, it also has nothing at all to do with anything.
I was laughing at you for claiming not to be a sheep, yet accepting statements of other people as facts without even asking for any proof. If that's not being a sheep, what the is? |

I can photoshop any image or video. Infact, fake images and video are more often then not, used to fool people into thinking something exists in a certain way. As for one or two people they can simply lie. When it comes to information not proven with logic and reason, then statisticly, the more people who say something is a certain way, then the likelyhood that it is that way, increases. I know China exists, because millions of people say it exists, its is extremely unlikely [id say impossiable] that all of those millions of people would agree to lie and say a country called china exists.
Video or images or audio can be invented by anyone. And by one person. So naturally I would say word of mouth by multiple channels is more reliable than any video or images ive seen. Infact, there is not a more reliable method of transmission that we have than word of mouth. |
