i'm going to ask my friend to take me out for some on my birthday next week. :)
it sounded really intriguing from the article, like the beers are supposed to be more herbal and floral tasting. it doesn't work for all types of beers (like IPAs, which are my favorite) because of the high concentration of hops they require.
mmmmm, beer. i think i'm going to go pick up a 6-pack right now. |

True, though the variety of beers (and wines & other booze) offered by the LCBO is pretty mighty.
They are the largest single purchaser of wine worldwide.
There are pro's and cons tot he whole thing for sure though, but my opinion is way more pro than con |

Well, they are the largest single purchaser because they are the only place to purchase it in all of Ontario. Which is also half the population of the whole country. |

Oh, agreed 100%, but this was a monopoly I was happy to support when I lived there :)
I decided to treat myself today and I stopped at the Beer King (yes, the store is called De Bier Koning) and picked up a few bottles of Paulaner Oktoberfest and Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest brew. Yeah, I know they're leftovers, but I wasn't able to get to O-fest this year so this is my little taste of heaven.
