Here are a few stupid croatian folk sayings:
"ko istinu ljubi gudalom ga po prstima biju" or in english
"who loves the truth, his fingers get beaten by a gudalo", and gudalo is a sort of guitar-like instrument. I don't know who came with that one.
"lako je tudzim kurcem po trnju mlatiti"
"it's easy to beat the thorny bush with another person's dick"
And as Milosevic nicely said during his trial to the guy who had no legs
"a znate vi onu staru srpsku poslovicu, u lazi su kratke noge?"
"do you know the old serbian saying, (loosly translated as) lies have short legs" (meaning you won't get away with lying) |

I know that all to well. There was this one girl a year ago I wanted to be with really badly. Three other really nice girls wanted to be with me during that time, and I told them to of cause I wanted to be with the first one. Then she told me to off. Then I spent half a year without anything. Later again I fell for another girl that also told me to off, but only after I told yet another nice girl that wanted me to off. And that was again about a half a year ago and everything I tried in the meanwhile failed. Life sucks. |
