We saw it tonight. Scary movie. Scariest movie this year, sure. Let's try and name any horror movies that were at least a 2/10 this year.
There are times when I felt Micah was acting unbelievable in relation to the phenomena that was occurring (antagonizing the demo and teasing the girl), but it comes together near the end when he is all "this is my house" and displays a "I'm the man, I will protect you" attitude.
I thought the whole movie was great. Weakest scene would be when the girl (obviously possessed) speaks into the camera in tandem with the demon voice. The "drag" scene was absolutely great. It made everyone absolutely bonkers.
There is an alternative ending on Youtube with cops stumbling upon the house. |

yeah, micah was a ing douche, at the tail-end of the movie his actions were getting a bit unbelievable.
all in all it was a decent movie and it's refreshing to see one that isn't strictly a shock-gore flick. definitely forgettable though, i'm glad i didn't buy it. |

Watched it tonight, pretty stupid but I will definately be scanning the room for ghosts tonight.
The version with cops is actually the original version. The theatre version has a different ending which is a bit scarier I suppose. |

just saw it now. I really didn't like the "hollywood" ending that is out in theaters. one of the basis that is supposed to make the film scary was the reality of it, and the cgi in the end did not fit in at all.
other than that, the entire build up of the movie was very intense and did great in that aspect. a lot of the daytime scenes were a bit boring, but I don't know how they could have done it otherwise.
the dragging scene was by far the best/scariest part imo. |
