Paranormal Activity (film) (pg. 6)

Went to see this film tonight with my girlfriend. About halfway through she whispered to me: 'this film is ' and I was inclined to agree.

I just don't see what's scary about it. Apart from the final minute (which you could sort of see coming) I didn't jump once. The bit where the girl is dragged out of the room actually made most people in the cinema laugh. Other times people were talking amongst themselves because nothing was going on on-screen. There were some tense moments, but I wasn't scared.

I agree that it's a novel and interesting idea, and I didn't want to see loads of gore, but I wanted to see the demon or at least a bit more of it.

I read that people in America walked out because they were too scared. They must have been Amish or just really, really sheltered people.

Amish people don't go to movie theatres.

I hated the Blair Witch Project and this film seems like it's from the same school?

I am aware of that. I was joking.

Saw it last week. Pretty good , loads better than any other "scary" movies out there. I saw it with two different endings, which was the original one?

The one with the cops was the one made first. The pounce at the cam is the "spielberg edit".

All of you who think Paranormal Activity is (the) scary(est) movie (of all time) are a bunch of pussies. Last few scenes were alright, the rest of the movie is bollocks.

***SPOILERS****

I didn't see any ending with cops, just one where the guy flies across the room and knocks down the camera, the girl walks in crawls over the body, etc. Then it is mentioned that the cops found the body some days later and that she was never found. Was there an actual ending with the cops entering the room?

The other ending was pretty much the same, sans the guy flying across the room and then the girl walks towards the cam and slits her throat with the kitchen knife.

Edit: OK, found it.
