Because they have a really good case. A really really good case.
Speaking of cases in case you don't know people sue for much higher than what they want to get so that they can settle for less. This is standard issue. Especially on an open and shut case like this.
On the one side you got a black popular author who
- Had her guests turned away in large numbers. (lots of people at the scene of the crime to testify)
- All those guests happened to be black all her white guests were let in.
- And on top of that the owner was dumb enough to actually send text messages to her complaining about ''her people''
On the other hand you got a owner of a nightclub who
- did not want any fat black bitches in his club.
Gee... Its a close call... I wonder how this one will turn out.:wtf:
On nationally publicized racial cases like this they will be able to find 1000 lawyers willing to work pro bono and you know what... now that it's leaked to the media you can expect somebody like Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton to chime in and then he is really going to pay people a lot of money.
Really the only thing that could possibly go any worse is if the judge is a 300 pound black guy. :wtf:
Why are you guys even sympathizing with this guy but then again it's not like he won't need all the sympathy he can get coz there is absolutely no way in hell he is gonna win this. |

I love being American.
We are on a hair trigger to sue any and everyone for the slightest thing. Not to mention the club more than likely has a board posting that "they reserve the right to not allow entrance to any persons at any time" so her whole suit about deformation is null reguardless of text messages about them. Not to mention this is a club... not a job interview.
Id have to say Bravo to the club owner for backdoor telling them the weighloss pill before the Big Mac, Supersize fries and Diet coke diet isnt working. |

Did you even read the link? There are 5 owners (not a guy), and 2 of them are black. A big chunk of the staff working and rejecting these patrons is black. The Shelter parties that they throw there are done by a black DJ, Timmy Regisford, and the crowd is probably 3/4 black. So good luck.
I'm sorry, but I've been rejected from clubs, even with a hot girl in tow. Should I be allowed to sue every time my feelings get hurt? If she wanted a private party, rent the ing place out!
This is going nowhere and I can't even fathom how you think it will, but then again, I've seen your posts and you're obviously not the sharpest tool in the shed. |

Ok then.. whatever you say. It was very very smart of them to turn away all the black guests of a rich popular black author while letting in all her white ones. Then the smartest thing to do is to send racist messages to her cellphone to make sure she has a case. |

These type of cases pop up often in the south and guess what ''Groundhog Boy'' 99% of the time these cases mean bad news for the nightclub. |
