Why is there so much hate on music forums? (pg. 2)

There's so much hate because Ableton is the best DAW in the world and no one can seem to understand that. :stongue:
Also, people are really attached to the music they listen to. Like, if you tell someone about a book you like and they say they didn't like it or it sucks, you don't care very much. But, if someone insults the music you like, you want to knock that motherfvcker out. People usually get really emotionally attached to their favorite songs/artists so when someone insults them, they feel hurt.
At least that's what I've noticed. |

I suspect a lot of heat stems from misunderstanding which in turn stems from the fact we each have our own versions of reality, and of course each of us is certain our version is 'the' version. One mans nice synth work is another's cheese helmet.
It's like comedy - as a Brit I find things like Freinds,Frasier and The Simpsons really tired and full of banal wise - cracks that you can see comming a mile away... stokes the flames:disbelief. And as for the total utter e that is ugly betty - why on this gods earth would anyone watch that pile
But I love the Brit version of the Office, but I can well imagine my yankee cousins hating it.

Seriously, I keep quoting lines of this website to by brother, they're so hilarious. We just love the way you dis each other.
One the other day was a torrent of spikeyness, followed by the single word 'filthy' and that one word made the whole rant just hilarious to my Brit sensibilities |

If you were just in the studio (like I was), and you came here and noticed some random troll had been defamating your character when you were gone would you REALLY just ignore him?
People on this forum, including you, have reputations to uphold. If I allow that dip to ruin my reputation that effects how people view me and help me out on this forum, which in turn winds up rubbing off into my music.
Its already happening, cause I came here the other day to get some help, and trolls were making their way in and distracting people from helping me. So arguing with people here, in an indirect way, helps me with my music. This is the only place I know to go when I have a question, and this is the only place I get good answers from. I'm not gonna allow some random punk to ruin that for me.. |
