Towards the bottom right hand side of your yellow ticket there should be a box that says 'CODE' check if there's a 'R' written in it. If so that means he reduced the ticket for you and it will surely be in his notes if you wanna take it to court. Do yourself a favour and just pay the ticket. You got off easy. There is such thing as giving warnings or a lesser charge so he can say originally you were going 47 over. |
It doesn't say R, does that make a difference? |

What?? So because some of our laws or regulations are pointless or draconian in nature, that makes it okay to try to escape responsibility for breaking the laws which do have a point?
It's sad that this attitude is so prevalent. On the one hand, people make no effort to participate in the democratic process and don't do anything to fight for their rights; then they use it as a flimsy rationale to ignore any rules that inconvenience them and make excuses or blame society when they finally end up in the hot seat. As if two very lazy wrongs make a right.
There is no excuse - none - for not taking responsibility for your own actions. If the people around or above you refuse to do the same, then you can either take it upon yourself to correct their behaviour or turn the other cheek. Don't play the victim. If the best you can say about yourself is "I'm no less crooked than most of the people I know", then you obviously don't have a lot of self-respect.

Thank you, I was going to point this out as well. The ticket itself may say 115, but the "evidence" that the officer will present in court will be the radar log which shows the actual speed you were clocked at. There is a chance, however remote, that your fine/points will actually be raised, especially if you end up in a kangaroo court (not uncommon in that area) and the judge feels rightly pissed off that you're wasting everybody's time. |

| Ok ok ok all of you be quiet now & let a pro fill you in. If you show up to court to fight it yourself you will look like a little punk. DO NOT do this. You need to hier some sort of ticket defender to get you off. It's worth the $$$. Theyve done wonders for me. Its the only solution |

Thanks for the input. I've done that with a previous speeding ticket I got, and the specific company, and the para legal dealing with it sucked. In the meantime, I came across another para legal from kitchener who did do wonders for my girl friend with 2 of her cases, so I'll be calling her tomorrow. I was honestly thinking though that since it's only 15 km/h over the judge, or the cop won't bother with this ... especially a judge. From his point of view, as far as he knows, that's all I did ... and I'd expect him to drop the charges in a pre-trial hearing or whatever they are called. I'll see what this para legal ticket deffender of mine will say tomorrow :-P Cheers for the advice though :-) |

You NEVER need one of those scammers for a speeding ticket...
If you know what to say, you will get the same results that any "ex-copper" will get for you and you'll save a few hundred bones...
That being said...
Accept what this cop gave you...

Those 'ex-coppers' boast a really high percentage of wins. But a win to them is anything better than what you got. So if they take off 1 demerit point or lower the fine by a dollar they 'won'. |
