Anyways. Lot 2005. As Chemenhanced and a number of other people on here have said. Pay the ticket. You got off easy. A ticket like this your insurance should skyrocket and you should be paying a massive fine. If you know and realize this as you said earlier, just pay the damn ticket. You are wasting tax dollars out of greed by taking this to court and quite frankly it would be incredibly selfish. You really cannot expect a better result than what you already got. The cop will show up. Its his job, he will be supeoned to court to testify against you. Quite frankly the prosecutor will see that you are there for a break and you will be ed. Pay the fine.
And even if the R is missing from the code, which im sure it is not, he will still have a record of the offence being reduced. Cops do an incredible amount of paperwork on even the most amount of information. His testimony will be far more accurate, trusted, and relevant than yours. |

I'm only giving advice based on what has worked for me. I used them twice & they saved me demerit points & my insurance going up. I currently do not speed anymore :)
But seriously, I would NEVER drive 147. Boo shame on you :) |

so I went to court this morning. they dropped my $65 ticket "for not having the original of my insurance" (i only had a photocopy)
And they reduced my speeding from 41 over to 20 over (so $75 instead of $301). The judge said I had a pretty good excuse, but nothing can justify going that fast.
So yeah Alex, just pay it, the cop was really nice to you,
I also asked the prosecuter about your case. She says the officer will have the original speed you were going at in his notes, so if you show up in court and plead not guilty but fail to defend yourself you will be charged for going 47 over!!!
The officer has the same right as the prosecuter to reduce your fine. You have an option to accept it and pay it, but If you decide to fight it, you might get charged for the actual offence, in your case it's 47 over! |

excuse: "the jerk in front of me in the middle lane kept slamming his breaks (now i understand the reason for it was the cruiser driving a little bit ahead of him). So i didn't feel safe being behind of the idiot, i decided to pass him, went to the left lane. My passenger told me we had to get off at the next exit. I was not familiar with the area and did know how far the exit was, i had to speed up so that we wouldnt miss it, i didn't have an option to slow down and go back behind that idiot. As soon as I passed him, I changed the lane and started reducing the speed but it was too late, I got clocked. I had no vialations since then. I took couple driving classes, got my full G and my own car. I'm way more experienced now but at that point my only solution to avoid dangerous situation was speeding".
The judge said he appreciated my honesty and that was a very good excuse, however the officer noticed that there was no car behind me in the fast lane so I should have slowed down and let the moron drive away and then change tha lane. |

You should have :-p ... but It doesnt matter ... good thing you got your ticket reduced from a major to a minor conviction, gonna make a big difference when it goes to your insurance. From my experience, every time i've heard of anyone going to court to fight a ticket, it always got reduced in some sort of way. I'll give it a few more days before i take action. |
