I must have some kind of repressed rage or something, because when I kill someone in a dream, I normally don't just kill them, I mutilate them. Slice them open, or stomp their skull into bits on a road, smash all their bones with a baseball bat, etc. It's a bit disturbing.

yeah, i mean, there's nothing wrong with that, you can't control dreams right? but that's still ed up. i don't think i've ever had a dream where i've killed anyone either. mine are usually just me being in strange, but totally mundane situations. having a conversation with someone, walking in a random environment, sitting on a bus (like i mentioned before).
i have been having quite a bit of zombie dreams lately but none of them involve any zombie mutilation. |

Can't you? Ever since my early twenties, I've been under the impression that I can control my dreams to some extent. |

yeah JBJ, your dreams seem ed up.. but i wouldn't worry too much because you're at least recognizing theyre ed up and saying :wtf: .. if you didn't.. then you'd have something to worry about.. i think everyones had their share of dreams where they put someones mouth wide open on the curb and kick their head down.. |

well, yeah, to an extent, and sure with lucid dreaming it's possible.
i'm just saying that most people can't, for example, say "i'm going to dream about mutilating people tonight" and expect it to happen. though i've read anecdotes of people training themselves to be able to do so. |

| Anyone ever have dreams where you're physically disabled in some way? I'll occasionally get these dreams where it takes an enormous effort to breathe, my vision is all blurry, and I can hardly move. Once I dreamed that I was at my parents' house and took out a paper plate and started pissing into it without realizing what I was doing. When I noticed what I was doing, I tried to call for help but could only let out this high-pitched squeal / groan like "Auahauhauhghg!" |

i have dreams really similar to that, but it's where i'm fighting someone and i can't ball my fist tight enough, or i can't punch hard enough, or i'm running after/away from someone and i can't run fast enough. |

| I used to get the "can't move fast enough to hit somebody" thing all the time. I think I prefer that to being a killing machine in my dreams. :-P |
