| Same here, that feeling is so uncomfortable. I always assume it has something to do with being asleep and immobile while dreaming about running or punching. :p |

| there's some sort of reasoning/analysis that explains why we have dreams like that, but alas, i have no linkage to any proof that i'm not making that up. |

| I get it a lot when I have a sleep paralysis episode, the part of the dream that kind of wakes me up a bit seems to be those moments. I also have a lot of weird dreams where I'm at the top of a flight of stairs, and leap off falling really really slowly until I wake up when I hit the bottom. |

YESSSS!! i've had that so many times! it's so frustrating. I THINK in my dream "im gona scream REALLY loud" & then i open my mouth and nothing comes out & i feel my chest pressing bc im trying so hard to yell and nothing.. :sadgreen:
i've also had the same concept happen but physically.. i was in martial arts for several years & in some of my dreams i stop & turn to kill the guy/psycho killer & when we "fight" my kicks turn into noodles and my punches turn into pillows & im like WTF.
Capitalizt .. you have nothing to be scared of from me :p other than when im driving :disbelief |

| I had one dream where I jumped off a cliff hanging over the ocean. It was incredibly high, looked like it must have been at least 30,000 feet or something. For some reason I woke up feeling really good, like all my stress had been lifted. |

that was going to be my next post
my most reoccurring dream is the one where im in a city, but a city thats hazy & windy, and im climbing this kind of 'leaning tower of pisa' building.. & it's so high up that it cuts through clouds.. it gets pointy at the very top & i look down and feel scared, but i just jump. then im falling and falling and FEEL myself falling, then when i hit the ground i wake up..
i've had that dream so many times that sometimes i begin climbing and i already know what im going to do.. |

i ing hate sleep paralysis, it freaks me the out every time. i end up twisting and contorting my body in my dream (realizing that i'm still dreaming and need to wake up) until i start doing it in reality and then i wake up. |

| i had a dream that i was in a free-falling in a hotel elevator and in the dream i was really enjoying it and told myself "just make sure you wake up before you hit the bottom - that's the only way you'll get out alive" |

YEAH, I especially hate it when your comforter / sheets get all twisted around you. |

You folks who have trouble talking or breathing in your dreams probably are experiencing sleep apnea without realizing it.. You know how when you hear sounds in the real world (like a TV or radio alarm), sometimes your brain instantly integrates it into the dream so it seems part of the fantasy and doesn't wake you up?
Well the same thing can happen when you stop breathing due to sleep apnea. If you stop breathing for a few seconds in real life, naturally you will experience a freakish smothering sensation in your dream. If this happens regularly to you, you really should get checked out by a doctor because it can be deadly without treatment. |

best for me is the dreams where i can jump really high (pretty much any distance at any angle) and float down, or float about a foot above the ground and tap it with my foot to get some momentum.
so euphoric |
