Any track lists from last night?
Ronald Ravin'
Guetta just sucks, this is news to anyone? Wish I could have been there!

Interesting. So Guetta played at TAO last night, but at the same time he was supposed to be "live" from Las Vegas when he played his track with Will.i.am on the Dick Clark NYE special (but all done after midnight). Guess ABC was a lyin'!

To the contrary i thought TAO had one of the worst productions I have ever seen. The set up was absolutely terrible. And i mean terrible! They made you walk halfway around the sports arena and down the ramps to get to the floor. They also put a third room playing generic electro right as you walk into the floor level so it was a cluster.

The lines for VIP were rediculous. 30 minutes to get a drink at most times of the nights. They barely put any alcohol in the drinks although they did let you get two. They did not let you bring water out either. I tried sneaking a bottle of water out by putting it in my pants, and the bitch at security searched me and grabbed the water and threw it away. I SERIOUSLY GOT SEARCHED COMING OUT OF VIP...WTF?!?!?!

Overall DIgweed threw down with his signature techy progressive style. He made the night epic. I remember he played a star wars remix and even phantom 2 by justice. pretty epic .

Dubfire was good as well. Very minimal but it was still sick. Although i think they made him go on early so Reza could close the night with some of his top 40 beatport .

As for the event itself. It sucked my fat left nut. Not worth it whatsoever. I like insomniac events, as for go-ventures they really need to step it up cause they suck at throwing events.

Markus is just a class act...I've never seen a dj have so much passion while he's on stage. I really wish I could have stayed for the entire set but I saw him 5x in 2009 so I had my Markus fix. I also wAnt to give props to the promoters...I literally walked right in at 8pm and everything was very smooth.

Unfortunaely tho I think this was my last rave...I'll still go to clubs and listen to the music but there are just wayyyy to many young kids. But well see, maybenext time I'll do VIP.

Well apparently I had too much fun. Day two of recovery, I'm now sick and my voice is completely gone.

I went with a group of 15-20 general admission. For the few that did Ticketmaster, it was about a twenty minute wait to get tickets otherwise smooth sailing for the rest. From chatting with quite a few people in line, I'd guess the average age was somewhere around 18-19. A lot less Kandi Kids though?

We got in as Digweed was starting and set up shop in front of the sound stage. I had seen him a few times since TAO'08 and was never blown away. This time was an exception. Every song was extremely atmospheric, absolute tech-house. No minimal bells and boring whistles. I'm actually tempted to see him tonight at Ruby Skye. He really did a great job starting the night and setting the bar fairly high. Seriously Heaven Scent? EPIC. I'm getting chills watching videos

This is going to be heresy for everyone, but I had a good time with Guetta. Do I like his music? NO. Would I rather see someone else? Yes. I think my experience was largely due to a lot of my non-electronic music listening friends being able to identify with songs. It was great seeing them let loose. I figure he must of actually been pretty bad at TAO if I hated him at EDC and people are saying they preferred him then. His set was fitting for a club.

Schulz. SCHULZ! Heavy heavy set. Every single song I wanted to hear from his previous sets, I heard. Loved that they gave him a 20 minute encore. Although a comparison can be made with Armin for showboating, I've never seen a DJ more enthusiastic and energized while on stage. Really showed a lot of passion. I'm really looking forward to hearing his set on January 7th GDJB. Markus has got me hooked.

My constructive criticisms:
-I think between about 4-5 of us we spent near $50 on water alone. Previous years it was nice to fill up at a sink. Unfortunately there was virtually no way to get into the arena in a timely manner.
-No frigging lasers! Seemed like the visualizations were being repeated. Although I did enjoy the stacks of screens, lasers really make the lighting.
-Sound was LOUD. I had my hearos in and still by the end of the night my ears were ringing.

Overall I had a great time. Looking forward to my 4th TAO in a year.

actually as i understand it what he did was do the Vegas gig somewhere around 930-10pm because that is 1230 pm - 1am east coast time... and it was shown taped delay out here.... he then flew straight to LA...

Marcus Schossow made my night. Here's me dancing to

Intro to Schossow set is ing crazy. Track ID anyone:

&

"Dustin Zahn - Stranger To Stability (Len Faki Podium Mix)"

:)

This guy lived up to the hype of his craziness. Schulz had a million times better set this time than at EDC. Guetta put on a very fun show as well.

Countdown was ing lame though... especially when compared to last years.

Also VIP was a rip off as the lines at the bars were so long it's not worth the wait as you're missing valuable dancing time at a stage.

Was thinking it coulda been something like that, but that would've been a real tight timeline. He could have easily missed his TAO gig if any small thing happened. Big, big risk for the important NYE gigs.

That intro would have set me off. Wish I was able to see Schossow!

Markus played the second song in his set

The second song in Markus's set after his U2 intro mix was Rydem Koba, I had been wanting to hear that song all night and Markus dropped it heavy. I also loved when Markus dropped Lost Connection. Thursday cant come any sooner to hear the set on Global DJ Broadcast
