getting on the mic and screaming every other track is what I consider lame.. playing an awesome set and not having the need to get people excited by screaming "How the are you doing out there?!", "Can't hear you LOS Angeles, You guys are the best crowd", "get your hands up" or "Dance to the music!".. The DJ is there to play music and an awesome set not to give a speech.. :clown: |
So you're going from me saying "I wanna hear the dj speak" to you assuming that means that I want to hear a long ass speech or every track announced?
A simple "Happy new years" or "thanks for having me" or "I came all the way from the netherlands to play for you!" or something like that would have been great. not asking to hear someone yell over every track. |

I get how the main stage always has who's just popular at the time, regardless of style. But maybe from a promoter's point of view, setting the night up like this exposes people to different music, potentially making them go to more events? |
