Didn't even go to Stereo since reopening... It's sad
I don't go out "afterhour" that much anymore but when i decide to do so, i can't afford to have a boring night because i go once every 2 or 3 months and the cost in energy the week after is too important.
If someone go to stereo almost every week then the concept is ok, its nice to have a surprise, to go there without having expectations, etc...
The concept is also Ok for someone who like every music genre. He just go out and have fun, that's perfet. But some people for example like prog, tribal House and doesn't like soulfull house or vice versa. If a cient require a specific sound to enjoy fully his night, then that person will like to know who's playing
That strategie focus on the regular but turn down another part of their clientele that music connaisseur, that choose their night wisely and go out on occasion |
My thoughts exactly.
The vast majority of my friends (myself included) have not been going for said reasons. We are not being music snobs, but rather have likings for certain genres and dj's. |

I understand, but if you know well the stereo guest dj's since years, you'll know the type of dj's they invite saturdays with the music style too. Otherwise,fridays and sundays are more electro,techno,tech-house depending and they do promo.
like it or not, it's like that. If by exemple, you travel to go at stereo or you can afford to get there,find out and get out if you really don't like it and cross the street to Circus or whatever other parties. |

well this friday coming up we got SIS, maher daniel, audiofly and clive henry. all who play a lot of tech house/techno/minimal/whatever u wana call it.
i think this is a massive booking for the people that aren't into stereo's typical 'sound' and they are obviously not just booked cause their big in the gay community.
edit: i know you're talking about saturdays but still, don't go on a saturday and instead go on a friday when they book somebody interesting.
there was also audion last weekend which was incredible, and to all the techno heads that didn't come but are complaining - sucks to be you! those are only two bookings this month and i think more will come...i haven't been on a saturday when the dj isn't announced but they will always have certain bookings where u could know who's playing. just gotta keep your head up |

| Seems like many peeps are not liking the new stereo that much :(. I completly agree that it sucks to waste 35$ and a sunday for an event where the dj is unknown. |
