The funny thing was that some of my friends went to Parking to listen to Angel and then decided to head over to Stereo only to dish out more money to listen to more of the same.
I'm so happy I started a new concept this year... I don't go to massives (ex: Bal en Blanc) or afterhours (ex: Stereo) without knowing who the DJs are. |

They should not book a DJ who is playing earlier in the night at a club down the street that share the same client base. I would be pissed too to see the same DJ again in the same night. But of course if they knew it was angel playing, they would not of gone to STEREO, so I guess the concept works... |

i like the new club, but i think we can all agree that the sound system leaves a lot to be desired compared to before. I really hope they fix this, as this club has all of the tools to be great.
Friday i was in physical pain almost from the low end, and for the first time ever after a stereo night, my ears were ringing the next day. It is not as clear as it used to be:( |

The bass lacks that thump in your chest effect, and when it's cranked, the mids force my fingers to my ears. A bit of muffle the next couple days too. Stereo in its heyday would've never let this happen, although the last year or two before the fire, it was at an all time low.
I guess what I'm saying is it's much better than it was, but it has room for improvement. I saw someone post that Angel was going to be let loose on the system, but who knows how much truth there is to that. His take on the sound was always my favorite, when I first started going. And that was before Morales threw his wallet into the equation. |

For all the people who vote against. Do every of these people went once? guest not, cuz you can't pay that price and just party without known who's playing cuz you're a connaisseur or too hot! Go fridays,if you're against. point of the ing line! stereo don't care, they decide that. last saturday I went and it was packed. Yes it was waxman and angel. |

| nothing wrong with giving your opinion, you just seem a little biased... i've been before, I had a great time, I just don't know why they can't give us a headsup when they bring in big talent... personally id skip a night like waxman and angel, you can see these guys around town for free... however id love to know when vibe/dformation/victor/etc are on the bill! |

| They probably book them, you just can't know before they show the name on the screens,trust me,nobody will tell you inside,doorman,no one. It's on their tickets too. You can probably see if they're playing close of montreal and you have a chance. |

Yeah, go form a line on a Friday night and feel the full concept, since you'll be waiting 24 hours to find out who's spinning.
Originally it was supposed to be DT this past Sat, although I don't know how they were going to pull that off with his booking fee. I guess when people got to the door and saw the $70 cover, their faith would've been truly tested.
I feel for Stereo though, their anniv month didn't work out quite as planned:
Junior Vasquez - No show
Tony Humphries - Showed at 7 am
Vibe - Called out sick (although D-Formation rocked it)
DT - Would've been sweet
Honestly, who needs celebrations anyway. As long as they stick to their guns and keep doing what they believe, we can be thankful that we have this gem of a club in our back yard. |
