| Dunno if I'd call G the group of death. I'm not sure that there is one this time around. Fine by me, we'll have more top teams in latter rounds. |

Cameroon used to be BIIIIG in the 90's. they had these massive defenders. like a black wall. fallen off recently as far as being dominant in the african region. here's hoping a little home cooking bodes well for all the african countries. they've been ignored for a long time.
nigeria always show up with a young ass team. maybe they can surprise with a little older, more experienced, squad. |

them niggaz gonna set some records in "goals conceeded" column, for sure. i remember when saudi arabia was getting raped last time around, this should bode even worse.
interesting fact: Korea Rep. holds the record for most goals conceeded in a tourney with 16. i bet N. Korea caps that by at least another 4. |

| Best african team on paper, jesus I feel for the Korean players. Kim has probably put serious pressure on the shoulders of his players to perform strongly and not embarrass the nation. They'll be sweatin like Anne Frank opening a bag of crisps after seeing that draw. |

| @Russian: you don't know about ABSOLUTELY NOTHING... you need to be quiet, really ... you NEED to be informed before you open your mouth... if ANYONE bulls here, it is you. The "young ass team" you're referring to, is - on a side note - still worth more than everything you own accumulated - including your (most likely leased) ******-bimmer Please choose your statements wiser (or - as I politely asked you many times previously: stay out of this thread - this is NOT PDD). |

| D and G are gonna be rough groups. USA's group is gonna be challenging, but they've got a good chance to go through. A draw with the Brits in the first game would go a long way towards that end. |

Groups A and E are the groups of death. Group G will be difficult to qualify in, but only if you're not Brazil or Portugal.

Hey, North Korea actually have pedigree here:
| quote: | | Their most notable result came in the 1966 World Cup at Middlesbrough F.C. home Ayresome Park, when North Korea upset Italy 1-0 to gain a spot in the quarterfinals. There, they lost 5-3 to Portugal despite taking a 3-0 lead. The North Korean team was the first Asian team to progress beyond the first round of the World Cup finals. |
