saw a lot of this madness on TV during lunch. USA will have their work cut out for them against England. Hopefully we won't drop one to the other teams in our group.

I like B too, those South Koreans have laxed in the last Cup, but 2002 was amazing! Im pulling for them to give ARG a good match.

So the draw is done, the groups look like this:
Group A: South Africa, Mexico, Uruguay, France
Group B: Argentina, Nigeria, Korea Republic, Greece
Group C: England, USA, Algeria, Slovenia
Group D: Germany, Australia, Serbia, Ghana,
Group E: Netherlands, Denmark, Japan, Cameroon
Group F: Italy, Paraguay, New Zealand, Slovakia
Group G: Brazil, Korea DPR, Côte d'Ivoire, Portugal
Group H: Spain, Switzerland, Honduras, Chile
What do you think of these groups?
Personally I think group D and group G are the ones to watch
It seems Serbia and Cote d'Ivoire always seem to be in a tough group
Group D, Germany will come out ontop, serbia is ranked 20th and Australia is 21st in the world, while Ghana is around 30th, so second place is going to be pretty tight
In group G, Brazil is a favourite but portugal cannot be under-rated being ranked at 5th, while cote d'ivoire is ranked 16th
I also can't beleive how much luck France is getting, first with the handball to qualify, AND now the group consisting of no competition
Biggest tournament on Earth is around the corner!! |

I find it appalling that a team that managed to beat BOTH Italy and Spain in 2002 and reached the semis does not get the proper respect it deserves (the claims that they cheated are pathetic). Do not forget that South Korea tied with France in the last World Cup - and France was the runner-up! The Korean defeat to Switzerland was their only shameful result this century... what else have the other teams achieved?
It's been almost 20 years since Argentina last did something impressive in the World Cup, Nigeria has never gone past the round of 16 (and that last happened in 1998), and Greece... well, the only time they entered the world cup (in 1994) they didn't even qualify to the later rounds.
