FM Quick Tip: Sean Tyas (pg. 3)

It's no surprise that the more confusing it has gotten, the more they felt a need to throw on loads of presets.. no one has the time to figure the damn thing out! The Virus A had TWO banks -- 256 presets. The TI has I think 2056 presets! And a search engine just for presets! Ugh.

K, I think I'm done bitching about the Access Virus.

as soon as a trance producer such as sean tyas says something about it all of a sudden everyone hates the virus. :stongue:

I've been hating on it for quite some time now ...

Indeed, this is the worst thing about it. Personally, I still love my Virus.

Naw, people have been hating the Virus for years (see KVR.com) - it's become as fashionable as bashing Tiesto.

That's not to say that the TI isn't without its many faults, but this Tyas thing smacks of a guy with a personal axe to grind against Access and decided to use his celebrity status to influence his sheep...I mean fans. :p

That's exactly what it sounds like to me.

No wonder, considering you had the RACK version.

lol. imagine trying to work on that, with 4 knobs and 6 buttons or someething. they might as well just skipped all the buttons like clavia did with the nord-engine-thingy.

No kidding. I had both the original Rack (essentially the Virus B minus some voices) and the Rack XL (essentially the C minus some voices/features). Both were a total PITA to program, or even tweak. Sometimes the space savings just isn't worth it.
